魔城伝説

I don't know what is it with these Konami games on the MSX but they were truly wizards of their craft. Knightmare is a scrolling shooter where you go as a knight and shoot at enemies with arrows, but what gives you a true power trip is the abundant number of power-ups which feel amazing and which you can select strategically. You can take magic arrows, spread-shots, boomerangs(my favourite), and get other powers such as invisibility and time-stop! It's a lot of fun for a very tiny and basic game, and it's well-paced and not aggressive enough so it isn't frustrating. When you get a game over, instead of wanting to quit, it just makes you want to play more, which is a proud accomplishment for any game.
