I was actually put off the first time I tried playing this because the levels and tilework feel so rectangular and level-editor-y, but once I saw some of the ways the game takes advantage of the horde-control later I was completely sold. Some of the levels are infuriating when replaying for no damage, but overall this is a seriously inventive and soulful game. Probably some of the most satisfying sound effects on the DS, too.
