Apparently I missed the earthquakes, which means I wouldn't unlock one of the secrets, which means I wouldn't get the ultimate ending no matter what, despite my lengthy efforts to get it, and I'm in a very late stage of the game so I'm giving up on this whole franchise until I have an extreme surplus of time to do everything again.
