unless you really get a kick out of those fmv sequences the game is actually worthless now that ghtv is gone and clone hero has 6-fret controller/chart support
The set list sucked and GHTV was a fucking scam, but man I loved the way this game played. It really made me feel like playing Guitar Hero for the first time again and learning how to and getting better while also still being a familiar enough experience that it scratched the same itch as playing an older GH. Could have been so much better but the core gameplay is a lot of fun
I didn't play it too much 'cause I didn't care too much to ever turn on my Xbone, but I enjoyed what i played. GHTV was a neat idea. I dug jumping in and just playing whatever song was up, knowing I was playing through the same song however so many other players were also playing.
GHTV was absolutely fantastic and the 6 button setup really delivered on the "simple for beginners, challenging and fresh for veterans" premise but now there is no reason to own the game since GHTV is gone
Live service game that's been deprecated? Ding. Awful music selection including songs that were cut down to be digestible? Ding. Hardware so awful that I bought THREE guitars and they all overstrummed within 10 minutes of gameplay? Ding.
Absolute shit pile.
