    Why is this game as beloved as it is? Sure, it has a lot of charm and great sprite work, but the gameplay is mediocre. You move really slow, the combat is as basic as you get (I know being a slime means you're at an disadvantage in that area as a designer, but they could have come up with a bit more without breaking immersion), those mech/tower defense esque battles could've been fun, but with the exception of the last one, you can easily cheese all of them by launching yourself over and killing the operators of the enemy cannons.

      I think most of the things you listed as negatives can be easily seen as a positive in a light portable title. I think differently about what I want from a portable game as opposed to a PC/stay at home console game. I would want more depth and difficulty out of a title on those, but I think this game has just the right balance for something I'm half playing, half looking out a car window with.

      i love the tank battles, love games where you can customize your team and loadouts like in this one, especially when you can make the bad guys fight with you and become good guys.
