Artillery

Genre
Strategy games in which players are pitted against each other or against computer opponents and use a variety of armaments to defeat each other. Weapons tend to have stats of their own which determine things such as their power, range, trajectory, etc., often with more powerful weapons being relatively more difficult to utilize than weaker ones, and in some games players must take into account environmental factors as well, such as wind direction and speed. Artillery games are more often than not turn-based, but real-time games do exist. The most critically and commercially successful artillery games are those in the Worms series.
