Destroy All Humans! Path of the Furon

I love the first two destroy all humans’ games, they're some of my favourite games of all time thanks to their quirky humour and addictive gameplay. The same can't be said for this sorry sequel which is so bad that it tainted the previous two instalments with its game breaking issues and racist humour.

I'll get the humour and story out of the way first as those retroactively ruined the second game in particular for more pc gamers. Whenever people say that game is racist and annoying, they're really thinking of this one as we go from characters which as well thought out and only occasionally rely on racial stereotypes from the second game to racist depictions of Chinese and French characters complete with bad voice acting from American actors to further reinforce the racial stereotypes this game uses. This is made worse by the storyline, which is loosely based on the filmography of Bruce Lee, meaning that were in these locations for no other reason because of the games weak premise which thankfully doesn't even extend throughout the entire story. Before we head off to China, we begin in Las Vegas in a parody of the godfather films, meaning we can add Italians to the list of the victims of this game’s racism as every tired Mafia stereotype can be found in this section. From there we move to Hollywood complete with every tired joke about the movie scene and Scientology you can think of before finally being abducted to China to allow for the Bruce Lee premise of the story. It's not just dated 70s references and the remarkably poor taste (even for the 70s) portrayal of these groups, we also have to endure cringe edgy humour from the 00s as well as tiresome meta commentary of what gaming would be like complete with references to Mario and sonic throughout the campaign. Well, that's it for why this game sucks as a dah entry, time for why it sucks as a game period. First off, the game is hideous to look at, it somehow looks worse than its predecessors despite being released on superior hardware. This is made worse by the frequent screen tearing during gameplay which makes the game unstable to the point of it frequently crashing during missions, said missions being more basic than the ones from the other games which is also inexcusable. There's infamously no rag doll physics which is bizarre because the other games had this feature, instead npcs will float around whenever you interact with them, making for bizarre animations in the process. I could go on with what's wrong with this game, but I think you get the point that this is a disaster.

This game sucks through and through, it killed a franchise near and dear to me and even now continues to taint those other games legacy with its offensive humour and repetitive gameplay.
