So many things that are great about this game, from the amazing and unique character creation section, to the music, boss fights, graphics, even the end twist boss fight, are undermined by some underwhelming level design that goes too much for copy/pasting bits repeatedly. It also overlaps levels in a weird way, where the next level you choose transitions from the last level you finished, but the results despite potentially allowing for a multitude of different ways to approach every level, still results in just dull overall design. Only do the very end stages have something approaching interesting but too little too late by then. The charming, detailed and overall lovely art design, music, bosses and I can't tell you how much I LOVE the character creation system of this game do carry it well enough to be a game worth at least trying out.
