Kind of a sidegrade to Bonk's Revenge, to be honest. Not totally without new ideas, but lots of the levels are repurposed concepts from the first two games, albeit with overall improved, meatier level design. The mini-bonk power-up is a nice addition, though I can't say the same for the giant form. For the most part Bonk being bigger is strictly a downgrade, since it makes you easier to hit, limits you from navigating certain pathways, and also makes it harder to keep airborne with your head-spinning. To this game's credit, it does a really good job addressing a big complaint of mine with the last game, which was that most of Bonk's moveset barely sees any use. There are a lot more waterfalls, climbable trees, spin-poles and the like throughout the levels, so there are more opportunities to take advantage of those forms of movement. Fun for sure, but a little disappointing that it wasn't a bigger step up from the second game.
Truly a step down from Bonk's Revenge. This game feels like a romhack of the first two Bonk games, with a silly 'size' gimmick. Not a fan of this one at all. It's meaty ochre at best. Super Bonk from 1994 would do this concept a little better.
