After a while there are just too many indie games. That are platformers. In pixel art. Where you shoot things. With those ""self-aware"" jokes (Oh! Another boss fight? Haha I am the author xDD (Films don't do this too much, why do games find it such an obligation? (I'm hoping devs find out it's tacky and doesn't contribute anything to the player (other than to realise that this game they are playing was 'made' (and then how was it made, and what decisions did the devs make, and therefrom what choices did the dev make that I can criticise ? ) ) ) ) )
This game has enemies that you shoot. During development the dev realised that wasn't enough and added a few gimmicks to make it seem more fun, like the quadruple jump, bullet time and swapping weapons. The enemy attacks aren't designed around these at all, so you just gotta guess when to use them. Gungeon did dodging right - there are clear attacks that are meant to be rolled through / blanked, and some that should be easy enough to dodge without them. It quickly gives the player a sense of skillfullness to know when to use the tools they have. Bleed just throws a bunch of shit at you and lets you figure it out. Still fun gimmicks, but most of the time unimportant.
Other than that, it's an indie platformer. It has pixel art. It has enemies to shoot. It has one of those """stories""". I liked it, but I'm getting tired of all these freaking games man

this game is a piece of shit but y'know it's like the quinnessential piece of shit - if I had to keep one Indie Game (capitialized for emphasis and to denote the negative connotation) I would choose bleed every time
