Before the Echo

On the surface it looks like Stepmania with a story mode, but its a bit more than that. You have to face off against various monsters and bosses, performing their step sequences to stay alive. There are three separate columns you can toggle through. One lets you follow the backbeat sequence to gain mana, one lets you cast spells to hurt the enemy, and one gives you enemy attacks which you have to follow in order to avoid damage. So the game is really complex and impressive for a rhythm game. Each song in the game is composed by semi-famous Youtube musician Ronald Jenkees. It has a Matrix-esque plot line to it that leads you towards several charming characters. Very well painted, good and fun dialogue, with an appropriate enough story.
