The structure of the game is several sets of events. You are awarded up to 3 stars in each event, and each event requires a certain amount of stars to unlock. Once you complete all events in the set, you have a one-on-one race against a character which unlocks the next set and allows you to choose that character to play as. Each character has a special ability that can be used once per race.
There are many different race types: race, elimination, time trial, destruction, follow a racing line.
There is a huge quantity of weapons, many of which are interesting. The sheer amount of them makes it hard to learn what does what, but I thought it sets the game apart from other kart racers since most games just make different versions of Mario Kart weapons.
The race tracks were good, with the occasional branching paths and optional short-cuts to find.
Once aspect I didn't like is that you have to upgrade your vehicle to stay competitive. It didn't seem to add to the game, and just made the game really unbalanced at times. I often found the final boss race of each set was a massive jump in difficulty and you only stood any kind of chance if you maxed out your upgrades. It can end up being a bit grindy in that respect.
I was surprised by the quality of the game. I expected a lazy kart racer, but there's plenty of ideas in here, and it looks good too. I played with the tilt controls and it worked really well on my Kindle. The upgrade mechanic leading to the difficulty spikes was the main thing holding this game back.
