Regardless of which version you play on, the game always has a tendency to crash from 15 - 60 minutes (if you're lucky). Meanwhile, the game is unashamed to get as much cash from you as possible via gold bars. You can buy them to increase profit multipliers, speed up profits, and buy a gold suit!
Even if you enjoy the game, the planets are usually grinds and plateau after a while. If you insist on playing them without buying anything, you're gonna be grinding a very, very long time with no results. It's an absolute nightmare, and this is also on top of all the crashing.
The aesthetic is cartoony but not visually appealing at all for me. And despite its damnedest to give you frequent holiday events to keep you sucked in, they always come off as money-sucking... especially when the game keeps crashing! There are better clicker games out there, let's just say.
EDIT: If you need more evidence of how shit this game is, here's a handy review. This game is literally unwinnable as it stands. Yes, there are endgoals and achievements. To do so is unwinnable. There's no indication of this otherwise, even if you spend money. Avoid like the plague.

AdVenture Capitalist stands as both a great introduction to the incremental game genre and the cancer of it. It has some great offerings such as offline earnings and a charming artstyle, but the gameplay is just clicking bars and watching them rise, there isn't much more to it, and that's an extreme even in this genre. The "AdVentures" to the Moon and Mars feel pointless as stats rarely mix between areas, and event challenges have evolved from giving this game at least some depth to being rigged in favor towards cheaters and microtransaction purchasers. Events at this point are recycled, and I question what Hyper Hippo are up to since they've now abandoned Capitalist as well as the sequel/spinoff Communist (probably half-baking yet another mobile game). It's been pointed out before, but it is pretty funny how a satire of Capitalism became fully engrossed in its worst effects on the gaming landscape.
For reference, it took me about 80 or so hours in-game to 100% this game without any microtransactions (achievements, there's stuff like outfits from events that you can collect for a "true" 100%, but I don't know why in God's name anyone would subject themselves to that).
If you are interested in a better, more long-lasting idle game, I'd suggest something along the lines of Clicker Heroes or Cookie Clicker. If you aren't big into the clicking aspect and just want to watch some bars go up, NGU Idle is probably your best bet and offers tons of more depth, progression, and overall things to do that actually affect other numbers. AdVenture Capitalist works fine as an introduction to the genre because of its simplicity, but it personally left me with a desire for more and a feeling of disappointment upon completion.

Gameplay is impressively unengaging after maybe the first minute or two, even for this genre. Incredibly mind numbing. I hate the idea of making myself play this again, so I'm not going to.
Even if you're looking for a zero brain activity clicker game, there's god knows how many that are more fun than this.

it's not a fun game. It does little to capture the imagination or make you feel really good about playing it. I actually hate the idea of these games. But it's worth something to note that after years of having this drivel take up precious space on my RAM, I am an undecillionaire or whatever. Probably gonna delete it.

For an incremental game it lacks any mechanics to keep you coming back to play.

It's a phone game moved to PC. It's a game you play while you're doing other things. For that, it's great. I like having a game that I only open for 5-10 minutes at a time and then close. Also, playing on a computer means that even on a laptop, it drains a lot less battery than it does on your phone.
Honestly, the game is a miniscule download, isn't that taxing on the computer, and is really easy to start and stop. If you're reading reviews for the game I'd suggest you just go ahead and try it.
-----
It's hard to review games like this. Idle games aren't so much games you sit down and play, but another task you do in the background that you click away from after you're done clicking 1-5 times. Adventure Capitalist is another incremental game that made the move from flash game, to phone game, to desktop. This means the game is not large, demanding, or very complex.
Gameplay: The gameplay is pretty straightforward. You click the lemonade stand a few times until you have enough money to purchase the next business or a manager. The manager will run the business for you. You have to keep buying more to make more money so you can buy more things to make you money. It's not something you do for fun, it's something you play out of curiosity and maybe you'll end up sticking with it. It's a formula that works well, but it's not something that you're going to claim is "fun" 6/10
Graphics/Visual Experience: The game is quite literally a series of menus. ???/10
Sound: There is a single track for each planet (well, the moon isn't a planet, but you catch my drift). This gets old after a very short period of time, but it's easy to mute. 7/10
Replayability: Pretty high, actually. As before, it's not particularly "fun," but you'll probably find yourself playing it for a few sessions more than you expected for some reason that neither you nor I understand. 8/10 How it Runs: If your computer can't run this game it probably can't read this review either.

I feel like at their core incremental games aren't about being interesting, they're about being addictive. and my boring self was pretty addicted to this one so I feel like that makes it successful for an incremental game. doesn't make it a good game, no.
