ImaginEngine was founded in 1994 by Jon Goldman, Mark Loughridge, and David Vronay. The company merged with Digital Eclipse Software to form Backbone Entertainment in 2004, but continued to operate as a studio until October 2012. The company largely produced licensed Windows games during its lifetime.
