Game collection
I am a raging musicaholic with a passion for the old, the new, the bold, the blue, the different, and the just plain weird. I LIVE for LIVE music.
My true collection is vastly larger than the collection you see here... unfortunately, I have this strange sort of rule where I won't add an album to RYM until I have properly and thoroughly rated it. This means giving it at least 2-3 spins and putting some serious thought into the album's musical content. So as you can imagine... the task of adding my entire collection to RYM will be a long and tedious one.
The albums I have added thus far are the albums in my collection that I enjoy listening to the most. In fact, most of the music in my library is music that I enjoy. For that reason, it is unlikely for you to find too many low ratings coming from me.
I rate albums based on a simple 5 star rating system. First, I listen to the album in it's entirety and rate each song on the album (from 1-5). After that, I divide the total number of stars that the album receives by the total number of songs it contains to get an average rating (between 0 and 5) for each particular album.
The individual song ratings reflect everything from the songs musical content, to it's lyrical content, it's flow, it's position in the structure of the album, it's sound quality, it's uniqueness, it's ability to capture my attention, it's quirks, it's application, it's timelessness, it's innovation, it's danceability, it's enthrallment, it's riffs, it's beats, it's horns, it's strings, and what it all boils down to... my own personal enjoyment of the song.

One method for solving that problem: volunteering! Hoxeyville is FULL of amazing Michigan folk bands/artists that I love and support so I figured I would stick around and volunteer for clean-up. It's for a good cause, and they pay for your entire $120 festival ticket!! Not a bad gig if ya ask me.
Check out the line-up at hoxeyville.com, you might recognize a number of other acts too.
You also might want to try KVHW
Kimock band is with Rodney Holmes on drums, Reed Mathis on bass and Robert Walter on keys, KVHW is Ray White guitar and vocals, Alan Hertz (Garaj Mahal) on drums and Bobby Vega on bass - different sound / tunes.
