Let's take the second part first....if we all just jerked off our favorite albums all the time what would be the fucking point of this site? A n echo chamber where everybody just loving their fave bands and albums without dissenting views is a completely ridiculous notion on it's face.
Too the first part....I don't really neeed much more than 30 seconds of a ____core album to know that it gobbles more cock than a half starved fox in a henhouse. Call me a quick study I guess but the stuff is utter and complete useless angsty shite. Also, I still have plenty of albums I love yet to rate. I rate stuff as the mood strikes. Lately I've been in the mood to curl off a steamy brown shit on all things ___core. Feel free to ignore my ratings if they bother you so much. That is an option available to you, you realize that right?
I couldn't care less what you think about an album. I was just genuinely curious as to why you listened to so much music you hated. I usually try to avoid things I don't think I'll like. Your last comment cleared it up for me, though. You DON'T actually listen to the albums. So I don't need more than a few seconds if that to know how much it sucks and then I rate it in accordance with it's suckage. I couldn't give the morning's first fart about my stats I care about what sucks (___core and that djent djackassery to name just a few, crunk also sucks like a shop vac) and what does not suck. Don't think for a millisecond that you know what my motives are short of making sure sucky music reflects it's suckitude through the numerical rating's system provided by RYM and good music reflects it's goodness through the same means.
I keep RYM open all the time, I am always browsing lists and reading reviews of stuff I haven't heard than off to youtube for a listen. I also make my own lists of stuff here and at other sites so I'm aklways researching albums. When I come across one I forgot to rate...I rate it. That's why I have so many ratings in such a short period of time.

There is literally NOTHING a metalcore band can do in 220 secs that will change my opinion I had at the 10 second mark. Metalcore and djent are like beets or mutton. They are SHIT regardless of how you dress them up.
Now if that makes me an elitist than so be it, I honestly don't give a fuck, but back to you and your mind reading....proving what point?
