Again, I really appreciate it. I'm glad my writing responds to you even if others may not be drawn to it. I like the point you make about fandom. It is important to sound enthusiastic about art; I think that's why a lot of writers tend to stay away from consistently negative reviews and instead focus on what they love. I usually tend to approach or associate media differently than most people, so that sometimes helps my confidence. But other times I may be dead wrong about something, haha.
Your album notes/comments are generally brief, but if you'd expand them into a couple paragraphs, I think they would be enjoyable reads. It might be time-consuming, but if you may really discover a lot about your own interests by doing that. Throughout each day, I always write things down for reference, and over the years it has helped my writing style (and memory).

I certainly like this site, too, and the people I've encountered. I'm glad you feel the same way. Hah, well, "good taste" is subjective, but I am generally discouraged by the lack of people with my taste in games. You seem to share my taste, and that's really motivating.
Facebook is like an evil corporate tool at this point, but I occasionally find something interesting on there. It's not really a site to interact with people you don't already know, though. I'm not much of an artist, so I haven't explored deviantART too often in the past. However, I just checked out your page. I like the Madaem piece quite a bit, and I will visit from time to time. Indie Game: The Movie is on my list, but thanks for mentioning it. I'm waiting for its DVD release.

Usually along the lines of, "Fucking cool, now we got this."

Yeah, I do think Black Lagoon is good, it's just that one day I just stopped wanting to watch it for whatever reason. In that list I still recommend it over some other stuff. And Stand Alone Complex is something I am going to look at properly at some point in the future, but I'm in the middle of rewatching Trigun at the moment and I've got a couple of series I want to watch/rewatch after that.

Thanks. I'm glad you liked Winter's Bone so much, too. It's hard to deny its candor; maybe it just appeals to a certain kind of moviegoer, but I thought it would be accessible to just about anyone.
I had wanted to watch it for almost two years, and I finally felt I was ready as the winter season was approaching (and now it's here). My ex-girlfriend's cousin is a filmmaker, and she had the opportunity to meet Debra Granik recently, so that further inspired me.

Yeah, the amount of time and energy I put into it here is probably a bit extreme. Some synthwave is great, some of it's okay and some of it's unbelievably bad (completely uninspired and phoned-in), but for some reason the genre as a whole keeps me interested enough that I devote a lot of time to listening to it and making sure it's being represented here on RYM. You got any favourite tracks or releases or perhaps something that I might not no about? If so, please let me know!
