I was looking for Borealis' "Iosis EP" and can't find it online anywhere so I searched for the songs on it and came across your "Eyes Blue Within Blue" upload. I'm almost certain that song was reworked to create "Andromeida" on his new album as Somfay (Levamentum). I wrote as much on your youtube video...then realized it was probably you. Ha.

Hey man, just stumbled across your profile after reading some of your ambient reviews. I really like your taste! There are a lot of ambient albums you have catalogued that I've never heard of. It's like a treasure trove for me! (Hope that doesn't sound weird)

Well, I do a weekly ambient show for my university's student radio, so I like to poke around RYM and find other people like. Ambient is my "main genre", but stumbling across profiles like yours reminds me that there's always more stuff out there.

It's funny, I don't know if I have become more discriminating, or there is less released nowadays that interests me, or I just have less time on my hands, but my lists have been steadily dropping in number every year. I can't believe I found 272 items to listen to on my 2013 list. This year: 71 so far. I see you have followed a similar trend. :)

Ah, that's brilliant. should have figured you were in the know. I've spoken with a couple friends of mccann but never worked up the courage to speak to the man himself. perhaps I should start a noise blog~
his discography is daunting, but as much as I love it, you can quite honestly boil it down to a couple of notable releases and not miss too much. but the capital is very special; uncommonly ebullient & exuberant for an ambient record. (feel free to drop a recommendation on me)
