Funny, a lot of people including myself think All too well is the best on Red. Don't you like the soaring alt-country texture supporting these bittersweet melodies. The text is also quite good, packed with imagery and confusion. But good review and i like the fact you stopped by this pop album with your metal/rock tastes

Thanks for your answer as well, that was well explained. In fact I usually pay little attention to lyrics, but i see art as a way of inducing feelings and an easy (but human) way to do so is by expressing your own feelings. Of course I prefer when artists do that through instruments but lyrics play a big role in pop and folk, and i think she did a good job on this one. It can be a small bonus for songs i already like.
Anyway, i'm not a musician (well i bought a guitar last summer and know basics elements of music composition but that's pretty much it haha) and the harmonic modulation you mentioned is intriguing. Do you have a song that showcase good use of modulation. Also, one metal album and one non-metal album i must hear (disregarding what you think my tastes are) ? :)
