Thank you Qwerty100! Can't wait for the new stuff! DTP are currently working on new material and RVP posted just today, that Dev brought a new jam which gave him "Accelerated Evolution" vibes. That lifted my expectations a lot!
I kind of got the sense that "Transcendence" will be very much something in the Sky Blue/Addicted vein, but if its anything like AE, even better. I love that album.
Dev is also working on a symphony, a new COC album, a Sinatra-type thing, and some bass project, but from what I gather the DTP album is the most likely to come out this year. The symphony won't be out probably before next year coz he starts recording it in Belgium in September. He intends to combine a classical orchestra with a metal band, but probably without much vocals. It might turn out fantastic.
But if you look at the past decade or so, any year Devin didn't release anything, the following year he'd usually release more than one album.
And, shit, that new DVD is amazing. He is releasing a COC DVD, but that won't be able to compare to the Ziltoid thing by a long shot.
Hey, thanks for the info! Didn't even know he had so many irons on fire at the moment. How could anything top RAH performance?
Read your review of the gig little after I posted mine. Well put sir, well put! I even had to edit my review a little, because I forgot to mention that I also dislike "Lucky Animals" and for some reason I had accidentally given the blu-ray only (haha, yes only) 4,5 stars. Now it's the way it should be a solid 5/5!
Enjoyed your review of BBNG - III. How did you end up liking IV? I've got it as my favorite album of 2016. It's definitely the album I've listened to the most so far from a relatively strong year.
