Game collection
Just like alot of you here, I have a somewhat abnormal addiction to music. Shopping for music, opening a new lp, hearing something the first time are all things that I will never tire of. Unfortunately, my ex was effective in curbing my spending habits when it came to music and my collection slowly stopped growing. Divorce happened and I picked up where I left off except now I find myself looking back (to the 60's mainly) and am very hooked.
My tastes in music have always been out on the edge a bit. Most folks that peruse my collection think that my music tastes are "weird". I think the main thing that drives me away from music is if I sense, hear or feel that the integrity of what is art is compromised by mostly commerciality (if that's a word). If it's made to sell then, for me, it was made for the wrong reasons and I have no interest in hearing it. I do own some stuff that firmly fits within that categorization but it was bought long ago before my tastes had really gelled. So if you think that there is some weird, eccentric 60's acid folk lp that I may dig, then please let me know.
Unfortunately, I suck at giving reviews but I really enjoy reading others. My reviews won't be long and florid because I'm not talented in that way but if I write about it then it provoked a strong reaction from me. I try to not own music that I dislike (as most of us do) but I take many chances on buying things that I have never heard and sometimes it's a dud.
Anyway, educate me, argue with me, turn me on to some great stuff!
