You must contact this music store and ask what song it was! That would drive me crazy, haha.

At the very least, definitely make your own version :)

Thanks for liking that Trapt review. Just noticed you're from Spokane. I'm near Seattle. I drove through Spokane to get to Idaho and on my way back ate at a gas station heading out of town and got a nasty case of e coli from a BBQ burrito that knocked me out for a week. This was almost two years ago, but I still need to go back there sometime, and punch their owner in the face. ...Would have liked to stop in at the mall there if we weren't in a hurry, looked cool.

Oh, oops, I screwed up my geography. Hah! Spokane is lame, so let's not talk about that or my herp derp moment. I've been through Olympia on my way to Astoria, and may have stopped in there for the express purpose of getting my birth certificate (which I need to do again before getting my passport). Never heard of the Ranch House. The closet BBQ joint I've been to was Porter's Place in Tacoma. It's closed now, which is a shame because they had some great soul food and BBQ, but they still have a restaurant in Bellevue.

What else is good in Olympia? Might need to make a daytrip of going to get my birth certificate and check out the sights.

Nice. Rainy Day Records does look cool. Do they have any videogame or retro toy places down there like Amazing Heroes?

Nice. I'm starting work at a thrift store called Value Village on Wednesday. Looks like you got one in Lacey. I haven't been around there either, but thanks for the heads up with the Danger Room (sounds like it could double as a barcade) and Olympic C&C in Lacey. We recently had a comics shop in Bellevue close, which was disappointing because it seems like a dying breed. One of the last anime shops up here closed about a year ago in Bellevue [different part of town], and now I kind of regret not buying one of their Lupin III toys.

I keep hearing about cool swap meets in Centralia.

Hey bud, thanks for digging that Top Gun cassette collection. I ditched that thrift store gig after only a few months, and now I'm kind of just spinning my wheels trying to figure out what to do for more than two months before hating it enough to jump ship. Any ideas on that or maybe the Top Gun cassette thing in general?

There's some freaky stuff on cassette that didn't make it over to CD, like VHS to DVD/Bluray. I still have a boombox that can play cassettes so it's still a viable media for me, but stuff like reel-to-reel and 8 Tracks I can't really justify because I don't have players for those formats. I see 'em at the Goodwill Outlet stores all the time though. I'm also looking for rare Nirvana stuff. Know where I can find any hidden gems?

Sorry I didn't get back sooner. I have a bunch of tapes from when I had my old car, but now I just collect things that catch my eye. Today I got a "Volcom Entertainment Vinyl Club 5 Year Mixtape" cassette featuring Valient Thorr, Earthless, and Andrew WK. Not on RYM, haven't listened to it yet, but it was a cool find at a Goodwill Outlet store up here in Kent. - Thanks for the truck stop recommendation. I remember stopping in at a truck stop on my way to the Gorge last year and saw some new cassettes for $6. I was like "is this 1989?"

Thanks for the recommendations. I found Gestalt Bruise on Youtube but wasn't able to find Seer of Decay. Did you get them online or do you have physical copies?
