Ya and man was it fucking great! Coach Taylor doesn't need to take his team to nationals this year, he just needs to have them win a game. All the new cast/characters seem great. You just know the main black kid (arrested in beginning) is going to be an awesome actor, even though he's barely in the first episode.
Ya, I can be pretty forgetful when it comes to TV shows which is pretty alright with me since that means I can watch Twin Peaks every 3 years with almost no point of reference. OK, I know who the killer is but I forget the details.
Any Halloween recs? I downloaded The House of the Devil, so hopefully that will be good. Hard to find a good scary film in 2009.
Maudlin of the well is a rather unique band, the genre is called "avant-garde" metal, meaning that they're probably the first and/or only ones to have their sound. They generally incorporate metal, jazz, classical and some folkish aspects into their albums, but not just into one song. One song will be purely metal, the next will be an acoustic interlude, and later you'll have a song that more or less sounds like 5 songs in one. Overall, I'd say that they produce a relaxing sound, but not to the point of being as minimal as ambient. I'd suggest checking out "Gleam In Ranks" or "Heaven and Weak" to get an idea of how they sound.
