"Bad" and "very bad" are worse than mediocre. Mediocre is essentially "decent." Oh, and by the way, 5/10 would technically be mediocre/decent.

I feel like decent is like "worth a shot," and mediocre is like "I thought it was worth a shot, but I am disappointed by the fact that it wasn't."
