First of all, like I stressed, that was my personal opinion. I guess I should have added that that this is also the way I personally like it more; I like my soul and r&b edgier than in their pure forms. Examples: a good chunk of The Stones' 60s catalog, The Strokes (Under Control, for example, or how they covered Gaye's Mercy Mercy Me).
