After graduating from University with an English Literature degree I have tried to write as much as I can about what I read and what I listen to. I have no musical talent, and am only just starting to learn to play the piano; because of this, music has taken a backseat throughout my life although it has always been my number one passion. I try to connect with the music world by writing about it as much as I can and I specialise in Classical Crossover more than anything else; not because it's my favourite genre, but because it's where I am most knowledgeable as I have been following its movements for nearly ten years.

No problem. And if no one has welcomed you to the genre queue yet, let me be the first. We value every shred of common sense we can get in there :)

Ah yes. Final Fantasy. Honestly, I've only played through IV and VI (failed at I, MAN is that a long one), but I've got enough love for those two than most people have for the series so I'm set :)

Yes, my nerd-dom with FFVI is unbelievably awesome. I once set out to complete a game where all characters would be level 99 and know all magic. Honestly, it didn't take as long as I thought it would, but it was still ridiculous :) I've actually still got that game saved on my cart, NOT on an emulator.

Another challenge I started was the low-level challenge. You run from or otherwise avoid every battle that you can and finish the game somewhere in the 20s, I believe. I used to spend time on cavesofnarshe.com, reading forums and looking up stuff, but also looking at the guides on gamefaqs to find new challenges and just read about the game. I'm unhealthily obsessed. It's not my fault the game is flawless :P

Also, Chopin's 24 Preludes are excellent. If you haven't heard them, you should remedy that immediately :)

I don't consider the prelude to be the title theme. It was originally on the list (quite high, in fact), but after putting the cart in and starting the game again, I changed my mind about it. Quality tune nonetheless.
