I listen to shitty music and then give the impression I like it to fuck with hipsters and give false hope to people with terrible taste everything in this profile is garbage, except Nickelback who are masters of the chorus.
Yeah! I saw that on facebook. Woulda been pretty happy with any of the metal/hard nominees winning to be honest but it's still awesome. Were they just really surprised about it, or what?
Seems like the sort of reaction I'd expect from them just judging by the image I've garnered from reading interviews or having brief convos at shows. I haven't actually heard Cauldron, but I think I'd be ok with Anvil just because it'd be more of a life time achievement sort of thing for them, if that makes sense. I thought you were supposed to be done school in December?
Yeah, pretty pumped for that one. Someone told me that Git Some is guys from Planes Mistaken for Stars. Haven't really listened to them but that seems promising too. For CoC/Torche/Gaza.. Opera House sucks, so if Montreal's a decent venue you're probably further ahead going there. Work is far more interesting than last time and combinatorics is infinitely cooler than applied math (so cool, in fact, that firefox doesn't think it's a word), so all's quite well in that regard.
Excellent, i think 'Teen Girl's Guide to Social Success' has to be up there in my favorite album titles too.
Ah, fair enough. Hopefully I didn't talk it up more than it's worth :p
Haha, I'd like to hope it never stops being 'worth it'. I brought home a fat lip, swollen ear and a neck that hurts like a bitch to turn more than 30 degrees. Easily one of the best shows I've seen, Burning Love did the Nick Cave cover you told me about before, it was insanely good. I wanted to go to Soybomb but I couldn't talk the people I went with into staying later. If I knew Loma Preita was playing again though, no doubt I would have stayed for it. I'm pretty much a master in the art of spending the night in Toronto now, just hang out in the emergency room and watch all of the disasters come pouring in. I might be a terrible person.
The highlight were: Godflesh, Winter, Agalloch, EyeHateGod, Church of Misery, Unsane, Morbid Saint, Nasum, Absu, Negura Bunget, and Noothgrush.
I found one user that has quite a few of these concerts in video (and in good quality too) if you wanna check it out: www.youtube.com/user/TOTALFUCKINGMAYHEM
