Ever listen to Prefab Sprout? Just glanced through your ratings and it seems like you might enjoy them. In a way, they could possibly be placed in the same neighborhood as XTC and possibly even Cocteau Twins but that's a stretch. Highly recommend their Steve McQueen album.

Sweet, they're my new 80's interest. I drop the Cocteau Twins comparison, because Prefab Sprout are less dreamy and more stylish/poppy along with being slightly jazzy. Definitely let me know what you think, you have great taste! Always great to see XTC fans on RYM.

Glad you like them, I thought Cocteau Twins fans would enjoy The Sundays. Give that Steve McQueen album by Prefab Sprout a shot when you have the time, too.
