You've got a lot of the basics covered, actually. I'd say.. Eucharist's A Velvet Creation is close to early At the Gates more than Sacramentum, you know their second album but the debut is a bit better - lots of melodic fluidity with how their riffs & harmonies are arranged, flowing song structures etc. It's very good, though do be warned that the drum sound on it is pretty awful.
hey bro apologies for the late reply, had a busy ass weekend. anyway, glad you liked those vampillia tracks! i'd recommend starting with The Divine Move, then trying out My Beautiful Twisted Nightmares in Aurora Rainbow Darkness, which I guess is kinda similar to TDM, though a lesser album for me (still great!). After that, you can just explore their discography at random. Alchemic Heart, for example, is like a doom metal-ish album (from memory) with only two long-ass tracks. enjoy!

It's not as if he's like, off on his timing as much as, say, an Abbath or such. But he's definitely a little.. off, particularly i'm thinking of a bit in "When Night Surrounds Me". Mind you, as I mentioned I still love his drumming because it provides so much of the heft & muscle that album needed.
Drudkh are just.. eh. If people enjoy 'em than I don't begrudge, I just would rather listen to Burzum instead.
The Dawn EP is great. I actually think the opener is one of the better 'intro' tracks for a black metal work i've heard - it does a really good job of setting the mood for the rest of the work to follow. Both of the original songs I think are closer to the first album than Slaughtersun - more mournful & definitely in overall composition & scope. And yeah, the Infernal Majesty cover is way out of place, but it's a great song even if it doesn't 'fit'.

I'm not much of a fan of it. Mind you, it's not a completely terrible album; I think they had some very intriguing riff ideas & some bizarro phrases that I appreciated. My problem is that the songs are insanely bloated; it feels every ounce of its ~76 min run time and the songs aren't compelling enough to keep me into it for that long.

It's been at least a couple of years since I really went back and revisited Final Holocaust, but I don't remember a lot of the songs outside of "Apocalyptic Warriors" and the title song sticking with me. There's some good material on it but it didn't gel for me.
EtV is a lot more varied and "balanced" of an album in that they're liable to throw in some vicious chugging bit as easily as they are a thrash riff or a slicing tremolo bit while - the important part - their compositions retain a sense of focus. I think in some respects it's as intense, the tension building into pure apocalyptic frenzy when it finally goes - "Revealing Cruelty" always stuck with me for that reason.
Like I said though, it's been a long time. Haven't been in much of a death metal mood but i'll give 'em a go again sometime.
