Isometric platformer
Genre
Isometric platformers are two-dimension platform games that give the impression of a 3D environment through an isometric angle. The style formed before consoles and arcades were able to properly display true polygonal 3D graphics and was developed following the popularity of Sega's shooter game Zaxxon which led to the development of Tip Top. Other examples include Knight Lore and Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island.
