A great improvement to the original Trauma Center: Under the Knife [超執刀 カドゥケウス], but it still carries over many of its problems: filler surgeries, awkward pre-ending exposition (still better than the originals surgery rush), and the writing for its visual-novel-like segments having all the nuance of a 4th in popularity Shonen Jump series. I suppose devs can only do so much before they're making a new game, and the majority of changes are positive anyway...
The "please feel sad now" song in the OST (Despair, Hopeless and Too Much of a Burden) are painfully corny and generic, really brings the sound aspect of the game down.
