i remember almost beating the game long ago but having the flute mechanic get unusable on one of the final battles, wonder if it was anti-piracy or just a bug
Polish up the graphics (especially those square overworld forests), improve the performance to avoid points of slowdown, and punch up the train's mobility a bit (kinda like how it feels in the Dark Realm), and this might be in the running for the best Zelda game.
Maybe not a remake but a remaster or even just a fan mod/patch would be appreciated to make this underrated game playable without relying on the DS touchscreen and mic and also to polish the graphics cuz yeah DS 3d models have not aged super well
At the very least this is one of the most original and characterful games in the series. Plus that soundtrack is stupidly good. Such a big leap forward from PH it's ridiculous.
