First thoughts: I like the look of this game the characters are so varied and fun to both look at and play. The team dynamics are great and the main arcade story is so cheesy feel good that I couldn't help but love it, reminds me of like the ending of Elite Beat agents. Varied Game modes but online was dead got into one game and got my ass beat then couldn't find anyone.
When I play though the whole KOF series I'll update this to my thoughts based on past entries. But it's good enough to make me want to play the whole series.
