This is literally everything I was hoping the first Air Zonk would be. Absolutely spectacular soundtrack, delightful - but not cluttered - graphics, wacky but easily-understood bosses, diverse and original stages with a seriously impressive degree of interactivity (seriously, what other shmups have you played where you can push blocks around to crush enemies?), a Mega Man-esque structure that begins with a stage select and then closes with a linear series of challenge levels, and did I mention THAT SOUNDTRACK? My only real complaints are that it's really too easy for the first four stages, though it does up the challenge (slightly) after the stage selection is out of the way - that and stage 3 is a little dull, with some bizarrely damage-spongey enemies. Still, fantastic game. Can't believe this doesn't get more love here - or anywhere, really. Nobody talks about this game, and that's an absolute crime.
