Starshot: Space Circus Fever

Starshot tries to do far too much, crushed under the weight of its ambition in the process. A 3D platformer, there's something to like in its quirky concept and significant amount of (text) dialogue, but it remains far from the quality of its contemporaries. Many gameplay functions require a combination of button presses, making control clunky, and the majority of moves including attacking are depleted on use and must be refilled via pickups, which is frustrating and restrictive. Though you're given a significant amount of control over the game's camera, it remains largely unhelpful and prone to sticking to geometry. Throw in a poor framerate and you've got a considerably unpleasant experience.
