Very mixed about this game. On one hand its good to play a game that goes back to the golden age of FPS in terms of game design, and in terms of pure gameplay SS4 is the best the serious has ever been, at least in terms of weapons, enemies and game feel.
Unfortunatly everything outside of raw combat feels unpolished, the story in particular is terribad (but everything can be skipped) and the level design is very barebones. I dont care too much about the visuals as it is obviously a more niche style of FPS lacking budget, but some levels really offer these huge level maps that are very empty. It feels worst than some early acess games i have played.
At the end of the day i could write more and more about the flaws of this game, but when i am clearing waves after waves of enemies with a solid weapon arsenal i cant help but have fun, and its really the only thing that this game is trying to archieve. So i would recommend it even with its flaws to fans of old school FPS.
