Genuinely so excited to see where this game goes from here on,

In terms of space combat, this game is an absolute joy, feels so satisfying constantly switching between speeds and doing all sorts of tricks to outmaneuver enemies. Foot combat is also well done but certainly a little more difficult given how quickly both you and your enemies both move, leaving you in a somewhat silly slapstick fight where you constantly run around each other and hit them with one bullet at a time. Thinking of other games that did speedy fights well, Superhot and Severed Steel come to mind and the thing that works so well for both of those games is some sort of system that lets you actually slow things down and see what's going on + the fact that it doesn't actually take much to kill an enemy so you could simply run around without ever needing to use the slow-mo feature (if you so please).

As of recently, I've seen a lot of UI updates which I guess have done a good job of streamlining the experience? Idk if the game really needed a cell-based inventory system, I think players would have been fine if you just used different key binds to turn on different aspects of your character (flashlight, jump pack etc,), perhaps its for setting up players for some kind of merchant/store system. The game could have definitely used more work on the ship layout maker's UI or better menu screens (kind of looks like the default gray boxes from Unity with a blue tint). Hell, even better way to tell the story aside from reading paragraphs you find on random data sticks. The little robots you used to pick up and "gestate" were genuinely so out of place and added nothing to the game so I'm glad I haven't seen them around much.

The roadmap has a bunch of exciting stuff on it (including COOP/multiplayer) but I truly hope he first focuses on building out the world + filling it with more things to actually do!

Either way, at its core, the planetary engine + space combat engine is fucking incredible and it's well worth the money just for those two things. I just hope my money goes toward making this a fully fleshed-out game. The dynamic soundtrack of the game is also A BANGER, keep up the amazing work!
