Re-Volt is a remote control car racer in which you race through life-size environments. It's perhaps most similar to Micro Machines 64 in that sense, though fares better than that travesty. The game has a solid amount of content, including a track editor, and looks and sounds decent, though the framerate can be painful at times. Weapons can be picked up on the track and used against your opponents, but they feel thrown in just because every other racer had them at the time; they're useless unless you happen to be near another racer, which tends to be rare. The racing itself is reasonable, but minor slip-ups such as sliding out on a corner or becoming stuck against a wall too often permanently alter the outcome of a race, sending you from first to last. It's ultimately middle-of-the-road racer that does little to set itself apart from the plethora of combat racers that had already hit the N64 by 1999.

Supermarket 2 is such a funny stage in this game. Not only is this the weirdest feeling one IMO (maybe rooftop?) but it also comes before supermarket chronologically.
