Nautilus

Nautilus is an assymetrical 2P game, where one player controls a submarine(the Nautilus), and another player(or a computer) controls a battleship.

The objective for the Nautilus is to destroy underwater buildings and take their energy cores, which score tons of points, while avoiding hazards such as enemy depth charges, homing mines, and the terrain. You are capable of rapid shooting which can fend off most of these stuff but you will still need to be wary and nimble in the many tight spaces you'll find yourself.

The battleship's goal is to travel from the left to the right side of the map repeatedly, transporting repair crews to fix up the buildings the Nautilus destroys. He can also employ depth charges and mines at will, while being careful not to end up on the receiving end of the Nautilus' own torpedoes, and a bombadeer helicopter that is on the submarine's side.

It's an interesting example as a first assymetrical multiplayer game, and the gameplay is fiendishly simple and of-the-time that it's easy to pick up and play, and easy to intuit even today.
