Pretty cute as far as early Dragon Quest knockoffs go. Plenty of charm and character, not to mention a surprising amount of consideration for quality-of-life factors for an NES RPG. Nothing particularly special, but it does make me wish later games in the series would get translated, because I could see a lot of potential in the idea of an RPG set in a world that's just a mosaic of every Japanese folk story. I'm curious to see if Hudson ever took this concept further.
