09 was my last MLB game I bought, this was during my Junior year in high school and I was phasing out of my baseball obsession after a good 2-3 years of being completely into baseball and even embarrassingly trying out for my high schools team and playing on a local team and being the worst on the team since I hadn't played baseball 10 years before that and didn't train or work out at the time. I ended up sort of buying this on a whim since I saw it at Gamestop and the graphics to this looked nice, at least compared to 08 the show. To be honest, this is essentially MLB the Show 08.5. It is basically a polished, more streamlined version of that game with the same modes and characters creation, similar commentary from the announcers, the same players. The only big difference was this game had a new system for stealing bases, but overall it was pretty unnecessary if you already owned 08. Now its practically outdated by all the new show games that came since. Still, it was a little better than 08 I guess, but still could use some improvements, and did have its annoyances still.
