Title
Micro Machines 64 Turbo remains true to the experience a lot of us had with real-life Micro Machines: high-speed racing on and around household objects, from a top-down perspective of course. This close, fixed perspective allowed Codemasters not only to give the visuals an impressively realistic look but to prevent the game from looking like just another kart racer.

The good ends here, though, as on the other hand, the top-down perspective means you can only see a few inches in front of your car at any one time; racing quickly becomes frustrating and unfun as you repeatedly fly off the track or slam into an obstacle with no chance to react. Combined with twitchy controls, dull and repetitive gameplay and single-player modes that amount to little more than a slog, the situation is dire. Avoid.
