Matterfall

Another fun Housemarque shooter, brought down by cumbersome controls and bosses that drag on too long. The level of dexterity required for this game (shooting, jumping, dodging, creating matter platforms) got overwhelming at times and I'd eventually screw up on every level due to hitting the wrong buttons. This never happened in Resogun and Nex Machina, which had much simpler controls. The final phase of the last boss in particular almost gave me an aneurysm.

The game is fun, but I kinda wish they just dropped the matter platform element. The game is action packed enough without It. The matter platforms felt like something thrown in for the sake of making the game "unique", but at the expense of fun.
