18 years after the release of Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour for Nintendo GameCube, Camelot and Nintendo bring Mario Golf back to home consoles with Mario Golf: Super Rush. It's a shame Camelot continued the trend of "release now, fix later" formula started with Mario Tennis: Aces, because Super Rush features by far the best core gameplay in the entire series. Speed golf and battle golf offer nice distractions to standard stroke play, but aside from a lack luster single player adventure mode, you'll be hard pressed to find anything else to do in this game.
Not exactly bursting with content, but you know what? It's just really mechanically solid multiplayer arcade golf and I'm a sucker for really mechanically solid multiplayer arcade golf. I wish there were like 4 more courses but what's here is good. The campaign isn't amazing but I liked it better than the Smash Ultimate or Aces campaigns (other offerings in multiplayer oriented Nintendo games). Speed and Battle Golf are awesome. Iunno, feel like this one's getting a bit of a rough deal.
Honestly I wish there were even like one or two more courses. The ones they've included here are well designed if a little bland, I think, but with just a couple more this would feel less like a slap in the face. Give us a star road themed bonus course, or a ghost house theme, I mean come the fk on
^ absolutely blows my mind that anyone could enjoy the Single player mode here more than the one in Smash Ultimate. I burst out laughing when I reached the end here through its sheer shitness
i haven't seen anybody praising this, lol
