Make the World a Better Place

So this game is actually two different satires.

The first one's the most important and is the one they actively talk about in their about page: about how we seem to like games where we actually have zero control on their outcome, like a lot of launcher games. So to show this they made a launcher game where on your third try you're automatically set up for maximum victor, as you can't lose at all. Yay maximum fun!

Except they didn't exactly get WHY we like almost-to-zero-input games. In my opinion, that factor is the "spectacle". Basically, we like seeing cool shit happen and that overrides the feeling of not having control over it. Much like pachinko machines, unless you're a gambling fiend, you usually like them because it's cool to see a cascade of little metal balls fall down, not because you necessarily want to win or whatever (or at least that's how I see it). In the same way, launcher games are more fun when their spectacle factor is enhanced by sound effects, music, graphical wonders, etc.

So what about a game that has no music and is composed of badly drawn figures? Well it doesn't have any spectacle at all basically, so it's basically just a sorta amusing test of how much the game can go on by itself.

Still, it's an interesting thought experiment about how games make us tick so I can't give it too bad of a rating.

...By the way, the second satire is how everything you hit with your PC is instantly americanized, so a jab at people who think FREEDOM is what will make the World a Better Place. Still, that's a pretty overused satire so I didn't factor it that much tbh.

Yea this one. Extremely simple game in which you kick a pc as far as you can and try to beat the highscore. Apart from kicking the pc there is no other interaction with the game, you just have to hope it hits the best combination of things. Hitting a native indian is an instant game over, which is an odd thing to say. Anyway im not sure if this is total random lols or if there is an actual message behind this game, but the game itself is very basic and dull.
