Madden NFL 21

Maybe i'm too nice to these cookie-cutter asset-copies, but I find myself enjoying Madden every other year or so. Maybe it's nowhere near the glory days, but on a baseline level, Madden still fulfills what a realism-focused American football game probably should on the barest of levels. It's not a masterclass by any means, but... who at this stage actually expects more from a Madden game than more or less the exact same game you played 10 years ago with nicer visuals and an updated roster?

Mechanics - 4/10, well it's the same formula they've had for the last decade, it's not going to change, they aren't going to reinvent the wheel anytime soon, so it's passable on that level I guess. they can get very frustrating at times though, as players will get stuck in animations often, but they're definitely not the worst mechanics i've ever experienced.
Community - 1/10, most online players are the sorest sports imaginable. You can be one score ahead or get one advantage early and they'll ragequit. But who expected sports fans to be the pinnacle of sanity?
Game modes - 3/10, it's the same thing every year but with a slight twist, "Face of the Franchise" mode that's disguised as a new thing, the career mode addition isn't anything to write home about but it's not exactly horrible. and by god, at least it's SOMETHING different, as cringey as it is.
Bugs - Just as buggy as other Maddens.
