In small bursts, it's a fairly good and enjoyable game. It's very simple to get into and not hard to get the hang of, and the visuals are appealing and sickly sweet without being offputting. It's not the most well-polished FPS, but the presentation makes it stand out among the crowd and feel like a breath of fresh air as you play. However, the level design can often dip into being unenjoyable and arbitrarily difficult, meaning multiple runs through one level are required to nail simple tasks that really shouldn't take multiple tries. This is why it's good in small bursts, allowing you to conquer levels and areas piecemeal without being frustrated, and the difficulty curve is the game's biggest flaw.
The soundtrack is adorable, rarely dipping into being too sweet to handle, but a couple of the tracks don't loop particularly well (a notable exception being the menu music). This means that the longer you're stuck replaying levels in an area, the more frustrating it'll be while wearing you down. This all adds up to an ultimately fun game that doesn't lend itself to long-term gameplay value.
