Last Legion UX is a one-on-one mech arena fighter with one- and two-player battle modes and a story mode. The game's story mode is essentially an 'arcade' mode, but it's relatively well fleshed out with a decent concept and dialogue, as well as a suitably unique end boss.
There are a number of playable mechs, each with its own stats, weapons and abilities. The game's control scheme is good and mechs handle responsively; with some practice you'll be zipping around arenas in no time. Each mech can boost, double-jump, use melee as well as standard and special weapons, guard, and via hits power up a special attack. A lock-on feature helps centre the action on screen, though I found it would break often for seemingly no reason and have to be re-engaged. The rigid camera can be a pain, though I found using the 'far' view available in the options made things much better without sacrificing frame rate.
Visually, Last Legion UX looks quite good, crisp and clear yet maintaining a high enough frame rate to keep up with the game's pace. I love the level of detail in the presentation of the HUD. The music is decent whilst sound effects are relatively basic.
I had some fun with this one, as brief as it is. Those looking to master each mech, go for rankings and spend time in multiplayer will get the most out of the game's limited content. Certainly worth a look for mech fans.
