Journey, modeled after the real life band of the same name, is one of those minigame compilations that were popular in the arcade era: There are five stages, where each corresponds to giving you a playable band member, and the objective is to dodge obstacles, attain your instrument, and then use it as a weapon in a shooting stage while going back to the stage start.
Of all the mini-games here I think Steve Smith(the drummer)'s one is the most interesting, where you continually bounce on moving drums like trampolines, and it could have had the strength to stand up as its own game. As it stands, this title is very routine, aside from having the gall to include digitised sprites of the band members, retooled Journey hits(yes, Don't Stop Believin' is here!) and the joy of playing a game that embraces such wonderful band hubris. If you beat all five stages, you are rewarded with a mini-game where you play an obese usher preventing rabid fans from overflowing the stage, while a real live recording of Seperate Ways(Worlds Apart), plays from a built-in tape deck.
