The gameplay is just arcade golf, disc golf is torturous, GALF is awful and crashes my game without fail, but the writing and atmosphere are so fantastic I basically don't care.

The best arcade style golfer I've ever played. That coupled with some hilarious writing (even if it's unapologetic cynicism can be annoying at times) and great atmosphere make Golf Story one of the best indie game's I've played on Nintendo Switch. I'd certainly recommend this one to any fan of golf games or cleverly written RPGs.

giving up on the last course. feels a bit too malicious at times, too negative. it's not fun losing at the difficult courses multiple times. Has some charm, though.
